Golden has more confirmed dog-friendly taprooms per square mile than most Front Range towns, and the rules differ at each.
Golden's taprooms string along Washington Avenue and north toward Table Mountain, and most publish their dog rules outright. New Terrain Brewing, in a business park on the east flank of North Table Mountain, has the most specific policy: dogs welcome in the big beer garden on a four-foot lead at your table, inside only to order or close a tab, and a three-barks-you're-out rule. Mountain Toad at the north end of Washington Avenue allows leashed dogs in its dirt-floored beer garden and lets them come inside to order.
Barrels & Bottles near Camp George West is the winter pick, with dogs allowed on both the large outside patio and the enclosed, heated inside patio. Holidaily, the gluten-free brewery on Brickyard Circle, calls itself 100% dog friendly for leashed dogs; Cannonball Creek welcomes dogs on its patios. Golden City Brewery's backyard beer garden is reported dog-friendly but unconfirmed, so call ahead.
Between taprooms, Golden requires leashes in every city park and along the Clear Creek corridor.
