Dog-Friendly Places in Colorado

355 breweries, patios, cabins, campgrounds, dog parks, kennels, daycares, trainers and groomers across 12 Colorado cities, each with its dog policy written out and a note on where that policy came from.

How listings are verified

A dog policy is only useful if it is the business's actual policy. Here is what the labels on each card mean.

  1. Policy from the source

We take the dog policy from the business's or land agency's own published page: a taproom FAQ, a hotel pet policy, a park rule sheet, a recreation.gov listing. We quote what it says, including the limits, rather than summarising it as "dog-friendly".

  2. Confirmed or call ahead

A listing is marked confirmed only when a primary source states the policy. When the only evidence is a third-party roundup or a reader report, the card says call ahead, and we mean it: patio rules change with staffing, season and health inspections.

  3. Dated and re-checked

Each card shows the date we last checked. Premium listings get a quarterly policy re-check; everything else is re-checked when a reader or the business tells us something changed.

What the tags mean. Patio and indoor ok describe where dogs are allowed, not how busy or how welcoming a place is. PACFA licensed appears only on boarding, daycare, training and grooming listings whose license we found in Colorado Department of Agriculture records or that the business states. Featured means the business pays for placement; payment never changes what a card says about the policy.

How to get listed

A basic listing is free and stays free. Send us the business name, city, category and your written dog policy through the form on the List Your Business page. We check the policy against your own website or a quick reply from you, then publish the card on your category and city pages, usually within a week.

Two paid tiers exist for businesses that want more visibility: Sponsored ($49/month) adds a Featured badge and moves the card to the top of its category and city grid; Premium ($149/month) adds a spot on the city hub, a photo, a Featured slot on the category page and a quarterly policy re-check. Details are on the Advertise page. Paid placement is always labelled.

Corrections welcome

If a patio stopped allowing dogs, a kennel changed its vaccine list or a park fenced its off-leash area, tell us through the contact form. We would rather fix a card the same week than have you drive across town for nothing.

Browse by city

Each city hub covers the local leash law and license, nearby trails, every category with listings and, in six Front Range cities, free quotes from local boarding and daycare providers.
