Dog Daycare in Golden
Golden's two daycares both stream webcams, but they run very different days.
Rover Retreat on West Colfax at the east edge of Golden has been family-owned since 2003. Days are built around group play and exercise with a midday nap break, when the building closes to drop-offs and pickups so the dogs actually rest. Overnight boarding and baths are available, and the listing carries webcams and a PACFA licensed tag.
Camp Bow Wow Golden's daycare, in the business park near Highway 58 and McIntyre, runs all day in large climate-controlled yards with dogs grouped by size and temperament. Admission requires passing an interview, and the live Camper Cams are the draw for owners who like to check in. It is tagged cage-free and PACFA licensed.
Under PACFA, Colorado licenses daycares as Boarding/Training Facilities, since any operation housing more than three animals at once needs the license. After pickup, Tony Grampsas Dog Park on the east side of North Table Mountain is Golden's main fenced off-leash spot; everywhere else in town, including the Clear Creek corridor, leashes are required.

Questions about dog daycare in Golden
Which Golden daycare has a nap break?
Rover Retreat closes to drop-offs and pickups for a midday nap break so dogs get real rest between play sessions. Camp Bow Wow Golden rotates dogs through play and rest in its yards throughout the day. Both offer webcams so you can see the routine for yourself.
Does Camp Bow Wow Golden require an interview for daycare?
Yes. Daycare and boarding are open to dogs that pass an interview, which the camp uses to group dogs by size and temperament in its climate-controlled yards. Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella are required chain-wide, with spay or neuter for group play.
Are Golden daycares PACFA licensed?
Both Rover Retreat and Camp Bow Wow Golden carry PACFA licensed tags in our data. Colorado has no separate daycare category, so daycares are licensed as Boarding/Training Facilities and inspected under the same rules as kennels.
