Broken Compass Brewing – Main Street Taproom
520 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424
Well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome in the taproom and on the patio at the downtown taproom.
- patio
- indoor ok
Breckenridge's own brewery lets dogs inside at both taprooms; the Frisco and Dillon options are patio reports worth a call.
Broken Compass Brewing is the sure thing in Summit County, at both locations. The Main Street taproom at the south end of town, across from the Peak 9 base, welcomes well-behaved leashed dogs inside and on the patio. The original taproom on Continental Court, out Airport Road where the brewing happens, allows leashed dogs inside and describes dogs roaming the room as part of the scene. Both policies come from the brewery itself.
The rest of the county is less certain. HighSide Brewing at the east end of Frisco's Main Street, with an in-house barbecue kitchen, is reported to allow leashed dogs on the first-floor patio, but its site does not say so. Dillon Dam Brewery, the long-running brewpub off Highway 6 near the Dillon Dam Road, is likewise reported patio-friendly and unconfirmed. Call ahead for both.
Leashes are required inside Breckenridge, Frisco, Dillon and Silverthorne town limits and on the Rec Path. Summit Stage and the Breckenridge Free Ride let licensed, leashed dogs ride, which makes a no-driving brewery loop realistic.

Broken Compass Brewing, at both taprooms. The Main Street location welcomes leashed, well-behaved dogs inside and on the patio, and the original Continental Court taproom off Airport Road allows them inside and openly describes dogs as part of the atmosphere.
Yes, with conditions. Summit Stage and the Breckenridge Free Ride both allow well-behaved pet dogs that are licensed and leashed, seated beside or under the handler's feet and not on seats or in the aisle. Other pets ride in carriers.
Both are reported to allow leashed dogs on their patios, but neither publishes a dog policy on its own site, so our listings are marked unconfirmed. Call ahead. Frisco and Dillon both enforce leash laws in town, so the walk from the car is on lead regardless.
