Rover Retreat

Rover Retreat is a family-owned daycare and boarding house on West Colfax at the east edge of Golden, in business since 2003. Daycare days are built around group play and exercise, with a midday nap break when the building closes to drop-offs and pickups, so plan around the split hours. Overnight guests stay in suites with staff on site, and a bath can be added before pickup. The operation is small enough that staff learn each dog's name and quirks, which is the pitch the owners make themselves. The Colorado Department of Agriculture's active PACFA list carries it as Rover Retreat under Welsch Dog Daycare, LLC, licensed for boarding and grooming.
