Coal Mine Ave Brewing in southwest Littleton is built around its own 2,500-square-foot off-leash dog play area, which the brewery says gets crowded and may not suit dogs that dislike tight quarters. The rules are posted: register your dog once before the first visit, show proof of rabies vaccination, no puppies under four months, no glass or kids under 13 inside the pen, pick up after your dog, and non-paying visitors owe $5 per dog per hour. Dogs stay out of the taproom itself apart from service animals, while a separate on-leash patio handles shy or tired dogs. Food trucks cover meals since there is no kitchen.
