Two Lakewood taprooms let dogs inside and say so in writing, which makes this one of the easier Front Range brewery lists to use.
WestFax Brewing on the 40 West stretch of Colfax in east Lakewood has the most detailed FAQ: friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome inside the taproom any time, kept leashed, off the furniture and never unattended, and the bar will hand over water bowls and treats if you ask. Landlocked Ales on South Wadsworth near Hampden allows dogs in both the taproom and on the patio, leashed at all times, with the caveat that staff may ask a dog that is disturbing guests to leave. Green Mountain Beer Company on South Lewis Way in southwest Lakewood says dogs are fine on its two large patios but does not state an indoor policy, so plan on sitting outside. 6 and 40 Brewery, in a Parfet Street business park near the 6th Avenue and I-70 interchange, is reported dog-friendly but has not confirmed it; call ahead.
Lakewood's leash law requires a leash, chain or cord of reasonable length held by a responsible person whenever a dog is off your property. The trails above Green Mountain Beer Company are Jefferson County Open Space, where the leash limit is ten feet and the fine for ignoring it is $75.
