6 and 40 Brewery is a garage-themed taproom tucked into a Parfet Street business park near the 6th Avenue and I-70 interchange in west Lakewood, calling itself a craft beer filling station. The weekly calendar is busy: Monday bluegrass picks, bingo, Thursday trivia and a regular hot-dog cart on weekends. A third-party listing says dogs can join you at a table on the small outdoor patio, but the brewery's own site does not post a dog policy, so call ahead before bringing your dog. Hours are shorter than most, closing at 8 p.m. on weeknights. It is an easy pairing with a morning on the nearby Green Mountain trails.
Policies change. Check with the business before you go, and tell us if something here is out of date.
