Durango's confirmed dog-friendly breweries bookend town, with three downtown patios still awaiting the businesses' own word.
Ska Brewing's World Headquarters in Bodo Park, south of downtown, calls its outdoor space the largest beer garden in town, and the brewery's own page says dogs are welcome there as long as they stay leashed and with their people. Water bowls are out. At the other end of Main Avenue, Durango Beer & Ice Co., sharing a building with The Nugget Mountain Bar, posts one of the clearest policies in town: dogs on the outside deck on a roughly six-foot leash, not roaming, off the furniture, with a waste station at the parking-lot end.
Downtown's three brewpubs are reported rather than confirmed. Steamworks on East Second is said to seat dogs at its sidewalk tables, Carver Brewing, the oldest brewpub on Main, has a seasonal back patio that a dog-travel listing describes, and Animas Brewing near Rotary Park sits a short walk from the Animas River Trail. Call ahead for all three.
Durango's leash law under Sec. 4-41 covers every city trail, including the Animas River Trail, with a six-foot maximum; the only off-leash exception is the Smelter Mountain dog park.

Listings are informational, verified from each business's or agency's own published policy on the date shown; unconfirmed ones say so. Featured listings are paid placements. Add or correct a listing.
Ska Brewing World Headquarters in Bodo Park allows leashed dogs in its beer garden, and Durango Beer and Ice Company on north Main Avenue welcomes dogs on its outside deck on a six-foot leash, off the furniture. Both policies come from the breweries' own websites.
Third-party listings say dogs can sit at the sidewalk tables, but Steamworks does not publish a policy, so our record is unconfirmed. The same applies to Carver Brewing and Animas Brewing. Call ahead, and expect patio-only at most under Colorado's food rules.
No. Durango requires leashes on all city trails under Code Sec. 4-41, including the Animas River Trail, with a six-foot maximum and enforcement that increased after a cyclist collided with a loose dog. Animas Brewing is a short leashed walk from the trail at Rotary Park.
