Colorado Springs is friendlier about dogs indoors than Denver, and two taprooms here let them all the way in.
Cerberus Brewing on West Colorado Avenue calls itself a dog-friendly brewery and means it: the patio, beer garden and dining tent are all dog seating, and the kitchen makes puppy patties. Goat Patch's original taproom in the old Lincoln Elementary School on North Cascade allows well-behaved dogs inside as well as out, leashed and with you at all times; it is the only one of the three Goat Patch locations that does, since Northgate and Monument are patio-only. Lost Friend in Montebello Square describes itself as a dog-loving brewery, welcomes leashed pets inside and fits its tables with carabiners for clipping leashes.
Fossil Craft near Old Colorado City, Storybook in Papeton and Manitou Brewing on Manitou Avenue are reported dog-friendly but have not confirmed it themselves, and Bristol Brewing at the Ivywild School does not post a policy at all. Call ahead for those four. The Westside, from Cerberus out to Fossil Craft and Manitou, is the densest stretch.
Taprooms may allow dogs inside only where the local health agency permits it, which is why the rule differs from one Goat Patch to the next. Outside, city code requires a leash in every park and on every trail.

Goat Patch Brewing's Lincoln Center taproom on North Cascade and Lost Friend Brewing in Montebello Square both allow well-behaved leashed dogs indoors. Goat Patch's Northgate and Monument taprooms are patio-only. Storybook Brewing is reported to allow dogs inside but has not confirmed it, so call first.
Cerberus Brewing Company on West Colorado Avenue makes puppy patties in its kitchen and lists the patio, beer garden and dining tent as dog-friendly seating with water bowls. It is a brewpub with a full menu, so you can eat a meal rather than waiting for a food truck.
Colorado's retail food rules bar animals from food establishments except where the local health agency approves an outdoor dining variance; taprooms without food service have more leeway indoors. That is why the policy varies by location even within one brand. Always check the posted sign or ask staff.
