Fossil Craft Beer Company brews in a light-industrial pocket on Ore Mill Road near Old Colorado City on the west side, a natural stop after a dusty hike at Red Rock Canyon. The taproom opens at 3 on weekdays and noon on weekends, food trucks handle the eating, and there is an outdoor seating area. Pet-travel directories report that dogs are welcome both in the taproom and at the umbrella tables outside, but the brewery's own website does not state a pet policy, so call ahead before bringing your dog, especially for an indoor visit.
