Dog park in Lakewood, Colorado
Small neighborhood off-leash dog park inside a city park opened in 2026; dogs must be leashed elsewhere in the park.
Confirmed from the business's or agency's own published policy · last checked 2026-10-24.
Wright Park is Lakewood's newest park, a ten-acre site on Wright Street near 6th Avenue and Union that opened in 2026 with a trail loop, new playground, picnic shelter, volleyball court, shade structures and what the city calls a small neighborhood dog park, listed as off-leash. It is tucked between the Federal Center and the Green Mountain neighborhoods, so it mainly serves residents within walking distance rather than drivers looking for acreage. The city page does not give the dog area's size or fencing details, and hours are not posted. For a bigger run, Forsberg-Iron Spring is a few minutes west along Alameda Parkway.
