Forsberg-Iron Spring Park is Lakewood's original off-leash dog park, sitting on West Alameda Parkway at the base of Green Mountain and doubling as a trailhead into William F. Hayden Park. The city's park page lists the off-leash dog park among its features along with year-round permanent restrooms, a picnic shelter, a half-mile paved loop, xeric flower beds and an expanded parking lot with a grade-separated link to the Hayden trails. Third-party listings describe a fully fenced area split into large- and small-dog sides. Lakewood's leash law makes every other park leash-only, so this is the go-to for west Lakewood. Water runs seasonally; carry your own in winter.
