Dog park in Lakewood, Colorado
City-designated off-leash dog park added to Mountair Park in 2024; dogs must be leashed elsewhere in the park.
Confirmed from the business's or agency's own published policy · last checked 2026-10-24.
Mountair Park in the Two Creeks neighborhood of east Lakewood gained an off-leash dog park in 2024, which the city says was added because of popular demand and built by reusing the park's existing ballfield fencing. It is the closest legal off-leash option to the Colfax corridor and the W Line, a few blocks from WestFax Brewing. The rest of the park offers paved walking trails, bike paths, a playground, public art, picnic tables and a sport court; restrooms are portable units. Lakewood keeps all other park areas leash-only, so the fenced run is the only place here to let a dog loose. Hours are not posted on the city page.
