Dog policy
Fenced off-leash dog park with picnic tables inside Fossil Creek Community Park; dogs must be leashed elsewhere in the park and owners must pick up waste.
Confirmed from the business's or agency's own published policy · last checked 2026-10-24.
Fossil Creek Community Park serves the south side of Fort Collins from South Lemay Avenue just north of Trilby, and the city lists a dog park among its features, with a photo showing the dog park's picnic tables. A second parking lot sits next to the dog park off South Lemay, so you can skip the main entrance. Hours follow the citywide 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. schedule, and the park rules page limits off-leash dogs to fenced, signed dog park areas. The rest of the park has a seasonal splash pad that runs 9 to 7 from roughly Memorial Day through Labor Day, plus the usual community park fields and paths.
