Carla Madison Dog Park is part of the Carla Madison Recreation Center campus on East Colfax Avenue at Josephine Street, across from City Park's southern edge. Denver Parks & Recreation lists it as one of the city's official off-leash areas, and the usual rules apply: dogs need a Denver license, a current rabies vaccination and spay/neuter status or an Intact Permit, handlers must be at least 16, and each person is limited to two dogs. The city's page does not list it among lighted parks, so hours are sunrise to sundown. It is the most convenient off-leash stop for Capitol Hill and Congress Park residents, and Bruz Off Fax is a short walk west on Colfax.
