Barnum Dog Park sits in Barnum Park on the west side, along North Julian Street between West 4th and 5th Avenues, with views toward the foothills from the park's higher ground. It is included on Denver Parks & Recreation's official dog park list and follows the same citywide rules as every other off-leash area: Denver license, current rabies shot, spay/neuter or Intact Permit, no children 10 and under, and a two-dog-per-handler limit. The city does not list it as lighted, so plan for sunrise to sundown. Condition signs at the gate run green, yellow or red; a red sign means the area is closed until further notice. Nearby Strange Craft Beer Company has a dog-friendly biergarten for afterwards.
