One Fort Collins restaurant treats dogs as regulars with a posted policy and a menu; four Old Town favourites need a call first.
Ginger and Baker on Linden Street in the River District is the confirmed one. Its café page describes the North Patio as dog-friendly and shaded by a pergola, with the café menu served there and a "Ginger and BARKer" menu for the dog.
The other four are long-standing Fort Collins institutions whose patios see plenty of dogs, but none posts a rule: Tap and Handle, the 74-tap beer bar at the south edge of Old Town; Avogadro's Number on South Mason near campus; Road 34, the Campus West bar and bike shop on West Elizabeth; and CooperSmith's, whose two patios open onto Old Town Square. Call ahead for each of them rather than assuming. Old Town and the River District hold most of the action, with Campus West a second pocket.
Dogs on Colorado patios are permitted under a state variance that the local health department, here Larimer County, approves one establishment at a time. Fort Collins city code requires a leash everywhere except fenced dog parks, including the Old Town Square plaza and the Poudre Trail, and a city license from NOCO Humane for dogs four months and older.

Ginger and Baker on Linden Street serves a 'Ginger and BARKer' menu for dogs on its North Patio, which is shaded by a pergola and also serves the regular café menu. It is the one restaurant on this page with a dog policy posted on its own website.
CooperSmith's patios open straight onto the pedestrian plaza, but the brewpub does not post a dog policy on its own site, so call ahead before you go. The same applies to Tap and Handle, Avogadro's Number and Road 34 on this list.
Yes. Fort Collins city code allows dogs off leash only in fenced, designated dog park areas, so patios, sidewalks and Old Town Square are leash territory. Restaurants with approved dog patios may add their own rules about seating and behaviour; ask staff when you arrive.
