Choosing a groomer in Fort Collins
Midtown and the College Avenue corridor. The Dog Pawlour’s original shop at 2005 South College is a PACFA-licensed full salon staffed by nationally certified master groomers, with self-wash stations that close 30 minutes before the store, a second location on Harmony Road and online booking through a client portal. Parking at Midtown is tight, so allow time. It is the only Dog Pawlour with daycare, which makes a groom-plus-play day possible.
Small and quiet in the southeast. Beggin for a Bath is an owner-operated, PACFA-licensed groomer on Sunburst Drive near Timberline and Horsetooth, offering complete grooms and baths with hand-drying rather than cage dryers, plus à-la-carte add-ons. Hours are not posted and booking is by appointment, which suits dogs that get overwhelmed in a busy salon.
Mobile and the south-side camps. Zoomin Groomin’s Fort Collins van covers Fort Collins, Timnath and Windsor and grooms one pet at a time with no cages. Camp Bow Wow Fort Collins on South Mason near Harmony offers baths and nail trims as add-ons during day camp or boarding, with exit baths timed for pickup; it is the simplest option after a muddy week of play, not the place for a breed cut.
Fort Collins specifics. Dog licences are sold through NOCO Humane, and facility-based salons generally want rabies proof on file. Horsetooth Reservoir trails and the Poudre River corridor hand out mud in spring and cheatgrass from June to October, so ask for paw, ear and armpit checks in summer and consider a de-shed in May when the undercoat drops.
