Proper Paws runs out of a studio in the Mission Commons shopping center on West 88th Avenue in north Arvada, led by trainer Keecia Reid, who holds AKC Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog evaluator credentials and canine first aid certification. The approach is fear-free and positive reinforcement only, with the site explicitly ruling out prong and e-collars. Programs include puppy socialization hours, beginning obedience, a Life Skills class where dogs spend four hours a week at the studio, and a Grumpy to Great track for reactive dogs, which the business calls its specialty. New clients start through an intake form, and custom classes can be arranged.
