The Fairmount Trail is Arvada's natural-surface link to the foothills: about three miles of rolling prairie from 64th Parkway southwest to Easley Road at the foot of North Table Mountain, where the mesa trails begin. It is quiet, mostly used by locals and horses, and lets you reach a real foothills hike without the North Table lots. Jefferson County's 10-foot leash rule applies. There is no shade and no water, so it is a cool-season or early-morning trail. Combine with the North Table Loop for a long day, or just do the first mile out and back with a short-legged dog.
