Blackbird Cafe & Tavern

Blackbird Cafe & Tavern sits right on Bear Creek in Kittredge, the small community between Evergreen and Idledale on Highway 74, serving breakfast and lunch most days and dinner with live music on Thursdays. The dining room looks straight down onto the creek, and the cafe has patio seating that dog-travel directories list as pet-friendly, but the restaurant's own site does not publish a dog policy, so call before bringing one. Seating is first come, first served except on holidays. It is a convenient stop on the way up the canyon from Morrison or after a walk at Lair o' the Bear Park, which is a few minutes east. Hours change seasonally, so check the site.
