Transfer Park is a 25-site campground in two loops above the north end of Lemon Reservoir, reached by following Florida Road about 13 miles from Durango, then County Road 243 and Forest Road 596 another eight and a half miles through Florida Campground. The Forest Service lists a $22 nightly single-site fee and reservations through recreation.gov. Dogs must be leashed or physically restrained and may not be left unattended. The Burnt Timber and Lime Mesa trails into the Weminuche Wilderness leave from nearby, so it suits hikers who want a quiet base away from the Highway 550 corridor. Water availability varies.
