Woods Boss occupies a corner of California Street between downtown and Five Points, and it is one of the few Denver breweries that built space specifically for dogs: the website describes an outdoor patio with picnic tables plus a dedicated dog parklet along the street. That gives a leashed dog somewhere to stretch out while you work through the tap list, and it is a short walk from the Sonny Lawson off-leash park if you want a run first. The taproom opens in the early afternoon on weekdays and at noon on weekends. It suits urban dogs that are used to traffic noise and a steady flow of people.
