- patio
Aurora has one taproom that lets dogs all the way in, one with a confirmed patio and one that needs a phone call.
Launch Pad Brewery on South Buckley Road in central Aurora posts the clearest rule: friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome in the taproom, leashed at all times and within arm's reach of their owner. Second Dawn in the old Fitzsimons neighbourhood near the Anschutz medical campus lists a dog-friendly patio but says nothing about the interior, so plan on sitting outside. Cheluna, the Latin-inspired brewery inside Stanley Marketplace, is reported dog-friendly on its Casita Azul patio but has not confirmed it; Stanley's own policy bars dogs from the marketplace's indoor common areas, so if you go, call ahead and expect the patio.
Northwest Aurora, from Fitzsimons to Stanley Marketplace, holds two of the three, with Launch Pad a drive south on Buckley.
Aurora's leash ordinance allows a leash up to ten feet, longer than most Front Range cities, held by someone physically able to control the dog, and it applies the moment a dog leaves your property. Aurora's long-running pit bull ban ended when voters approved its repeal in November 2024, though the city's general dangerous-animal rules remain.

At Launch Pad Brewery on South Buckley Road, yes: friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome in the taproom, leashed and within arm's reach. Second Dawn confirms only a patio, and Cheluna has not posted a policy. Stanley Marketplace's rules keep dogs out of its indoor common areas.
Partly. The marketplace's posted policy allows dogs on specific outdoor patios, including Stanley Beer Hall and Logan House Coffee, but not in the indoor common areas. Cheluna's Casita Azul patio is reported dog-friendly without confirmation from the brewery, so call ahead.
Up to ten feet. Aurora's dog ordinance requires any dog off its owner's property to be on a leash no longer than ten feet, held by a person physically able to control it. That is longer than the six-foot limit in Colorado state parks, which applies at Cherry Creek State Park inside the city.
