Second Dawn sits in the old Fitzsimons neighborhood of northwest Aurora, a short walk from the Anschutz medical campus, and it runs as a coffee bar in the morning and a brewery and taproom later in the day under one roof. The business describes the patio as dog-friendly, so plan on sitting outside with your pup rather than at the bar. Coffee from the in-house Mishap Coffee program is served until 2 p.m. and food until 8:30 p.m., which means an early dog walk can end with a cortado and a late one with a pint. It is closed Mondays.
