Healthy Hounds & Fat Cats

Healthy Hounds & Fat Cats opened in 2005 as Durango's first dog daycare and still runs out of Turner Drive in Bodo Park, a few blocks from Ska's beer garden. Dogs are sorted into play groups by size and energy and spend the day with staff the business calls camp counselors, with daily photos on Facebook. Overnight boarding for dogs and cats, full grooming by appointment and a 30-minute self-service wash station round it out. The business states it is certified by the Colorado Department of Agriculture. Vaccine requirements include canine influenza.
